• Open up the google playstore
  • In the search bar at the top type ‘groundwire’
  • Locate the application labelled ‘Groundwire: VoIP SIP Softphone’ and install it.
  • Note: You will be required to make a once off purchase of the application
  • Once installed, Open the application
  • Accept\Allow all permission requests
  • When at the dialpad screen, press the ‘No Account’ icon up the top left
  • Press Manage Accounts
  • Press the + button to add a new account
  • Select ‘New SIP Account’
  • Enter the details provided by XSTRA
  1. A display name for your extension (Usually your name or Extension number)
  2. The extension number
  3. The password provided to you
  4. The PBX server address
  5. Save

  • Go back
  • The green indicates that it successfully registered\activated. If you see grey or red please contact XSTRA
  • Tap the indicator at the top left of the screen to bring up the accounts popup
  • Tap the MANAGE ACCOUNTS link
  • Tap your extension you just added
  • Go to Advanced Settings
  • Go to Codecs for Wifi
  • Using the 2 lines on the right, you can re-arrange the codecs. Move all of them to the Disabled Codecs section except for G.711 ULAW and G.711 ALAW. Move OPUS from the disabled one up to enabled and make sure it is at the top.
  • Repeat the same step but in the Codecs for Mobile section
