Overview
Although our XRACK Backup and Recovery solution provides excellent protection, we recognise the need for a truly air-gapped backup option for extreme scenarios. The Dooms Day Backup service is designed for clients who want to take data resilience to the next level by maintaining a physically isolated, offline copy of their data.
How It Works
As part of the Dooms Day Backup service, XSTRA will purchase high-quality USB drives and perform a full or selective copy of the client’s systems—based on their instructions—onto those drives. The drives are then securely stored off-site in a dedicated safe facility.
Benefits
- Completely offline, air-gapped backup solution
- Immune to cyber-attacks, ransomware, and internal system failures
- Customisable frequency as per client instruction
- Physically stored in secure off-site storage
Recommended Usage
We strongly recommend performing a Dooms Day Backup at least once per year. This ensures clients have a final point-in-time recovery option in the unlikely event of a catastrophic disaster affecting XSTRA’s systems.
Cost
All Dooms Day Backup services are charged at our Schedule 1 – Rates and Charges and include the cost of USB drives, labour for the backup process, and secure storage.
