Product Categories

There are 2 ways to get to product categories:
From the lookups menu (Under Xstra Menu)

or from the button within the product catalogue

Product Categories is a list with a button to create a new category

You can use the row expanders to view the hierarchy beneath each category

It will show both sub-categories and products
Product Categories can be infinite levels deep

Clicking on a category will open that category in a new tab

again, expanding the sub-categories allows you to navigate the hierarchy

From within a hierarchy tree, you can right click on any of the branches to get the edit and add subcategory options

The option for adding a subcategory will ask you for the name

And then keep you on the same screen

Known issues (which will hopefully be resolved soon)
Adding a subcategory from the tree, should add to the branch you right click on – it doesn’t
Workaround: left click on the branch instead of right clicking, then use the add SubCategory button
Some screens aren’t refreshing after a new subcategory is added
Workaround: use the refresh in the top right of the screen
Products have the same menu in the tree as categories

The main tab of the products screen now has a categories field

This works similar to the classifications on tickets:

  • you can add a product to multiple categories
  • start typing to find the one you want

There are some changes underway for taking into account how many surveys have been filled
Currently, this can be seen on the user screen

1 For the user score it is showing “from x surveys”
2 For the company and site scores it is showing the number of surveys in brackets
This will be rolled out to more screens in coming releases

Bug Fixes / Tweaks / etc

The ticket listing under users now has the rep column visible

And “Tickets I’m watching” now shows the ticket subject

Technical Notes

I am now using SASS as a preprocessor for the CSS
And the email system is in the process of being revamped – incoming emails will be using an O365 connection instead of POP and be run through an Azure Logic App
