I have still been working on some technical abilities – for those who are interested, I have perfected the link setup to send parameters – yesterday you saw how we can generate encrypted links, now we can generate encrypted links with extra values in them – eg: a step closer to replacing the satisfaction survey – we only need one encrypted login and send the ticket number and score as parameters

Bug Fix – changing tabs within a ticket in tabbed view mode, was breaking the top tabs:

In addition to fixing it, I have also put the ticket tabs to the left when the ticket is tabbed

This wasn’t required to fix the bug, but I kinda like the look of it and it potentially gives that little bit more vertical room
(horizontal space is probably under-utilized)

Email Forwarding
When an email is in the queue to be processed, you can now forward it – using the new “Forward Email” button

When you click the button – you are presented with a dialogue that is essentially asking where to send it

In this instance, I have opted for plain text fields – so you can copy and paste an address etc
The reason for this is that this is for those occasions when an email gets handed off to a third party rather than a ticket raised
eg: a client says to forward the email straight to a software support email… as was the case earlier today
Clicking Send will send the forwarded email, and mark the email as having been forwarded
An indication will appear on the panel

And in the database, the detail of where it was sent will be recorded
The email will not be automatically set to “No Ticket Required”
that is still an independent decision

I have been making a few style tweaks here and there and updating the css style sheet – one of the more obvious changes is with the top row of buttons – the fonts are bolder and now in all caps
Less obvious is changing of margins, padding and alignments here and there to “neaten up” some screens
